PRESS STATEMENT:
Statement from Health Care For All’s Executive Director Amy Rosenthal Regarding Biden’s Proposed ACA Fix Impacting Families

BOSTON – Today, the Biden Administration took action to expand access to more affordable health insurance for an estimated 44,000 Massachusetts residents. This proposed rule would fix the “family glitch,” which has prevented many families from qualifying for tax credits that lower health care premiums.

“We applaud the Biden Administration for taking critical action to make health care more affordable for families who are struggling to make ends meet. While Massachusetts has high health insurance coverage rates, family health insurance premiums in the Commonwealth have nearly tripled in the last two decades. Fixing the ‘family glitch’ has been a long-time priority for us and advocates across the country.”
