BOSTON – A statement from Amy Rosenthal, Executive Director at Health Care For All:
“Steward Health Care’s decision to close Carney Hospital in Dorchester and Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer is a direct result of years of mismanagement and greed by Steward leadership. Unlike Steward, Health Care For All cares deeply about the communities and individuals impacted by these closures. More than two-thirds of Steward’s patients receive coverage through state or federal government programs and any disruption to the care of this underserved population would have life-threatening implications. Health Care For All is committed to continuing to work with the administration to ensure the continuity of care for all patients remains top of mind during this challenging time.”
