About Peggy

Peggy Johnson has spent her career working to improve behavioral health outcomes for patients throughout Massachusetts. She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Vinfen. Previously, as the Chief of Psychiatry at Commonwealth Care Alliance, Peggy led the development and implementation of an integrated model of care delivery for Commonwealth Care Alliance’s members, making it possible for those with complex behavioral health needs to receive the care they need. Peggy also formerly served as chair of psychiatry at Carney Hospital, where she led the development and operation of a clinical center of excellence in behavioral health in the Dorchester community. Previously, she worked at Boston Medical Center as vice-chair of clinical services for psychiatry.

Throughout her career, Peggy has been recognized for her outstanding achievements in the field of psychiatry. In 2009, she received the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from National Alliance for Mental Illness and was honored with the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society’s Clinical Psychiatry of the Year in 2007.
