About Wanda
Wanda Cordova is the Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer at the Broad Institute, where she supports the CFO’s strategic goals and aiming to expand impact of the financial operations, as well as has oversight of the treasury functions. She plays a leading role in considering and advising on financial matters unique to not-for-profit organizations and Broad as an independent research organization. Wanda’s experience in research and a strong understanding of the intricacies of an independent academic research organization is crucial, enabling the Institute to pursue its mission of improving human health.
Wanda has 20 years of accounting and financial management experience, having spent six years as the Chief Financial Officer of Forsyth Institute. In this role, Wanda led the organization’s financial planning, cost accounting, cash management, procurement, investments, and contracts/grant administration. Prior to joining Forsyth, Wanda spent four years as the Controller at the Broad Institute. In this role, Wanda was responsible for ensuring proper internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. For the first eight years of her career, Wanda worked in the assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the four largest accounting firms in the country. Wanda received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University in 2002 and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2006.
