About Sandra

Sandra de Souza is a Helpline Counselor at HCFA. She graduated with a degree in Portuguese and Literature from USP (University of Sao Paulo/Brazil) and speaks Portuguese as a first language. Prior to HCFA, Sandra worked at Community Teamwork, Inc., where she provided social services for English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking communities. Sandra is also certified as a Portuguese Medical Interpreter. Earlier in her career, she worked at Saint Francis House, assisting people at risk of homelessness with finding a place that they can call home. She loves serving the community and improving their living and health conditions.
