About Kathryn
Prior to joining its board, Kate Segel was a longtime staff member at HCFA, leading efforts to expand the HelpLine and build a program providing a feedback loop between the State House, health care policymakers, and consumer health advocates. Now, Kate serves as the Ombudsman at the MA Health Connector, helping to connect high need residents of Massachusetts to health care coverage through the individual marketplace. Kate was also a long time board member of NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts. She lives in Jamaica Plain with her wife, a toddler, and twins. She hails from west-central Illinois and is a graduate of Augustana College.
