About Ata

Ata is a HelpLine Counselor at HCFA, bringing her language skills and background in supporting and advocating for the vulnerable to the organization. Before joining the HelpLine, Ata founded MentOrg, which connects transplanted organ recipients willing to share their time and stories with other patients. Ata also worked as a teacher at the Abbott Learning Center and as a field organizer for the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Ata also has extensive volunteer experience including coordinating with activists to advocate for immigrant community rights in the education sector.  She holds a bachelor’s from Mount Ida College.
