Dustin Schaefer is an associate attorney in the healthcare group of a global law firm based in Boston. He provides regulatory, compliance, and transactional advice to a broad range of health care clients, including hospitals and health systems, physician practices and other provider organizations, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, insurers, and private equity firms investing in the health care and life sciences industries. He also maintains a pro bono practice, providing assistance to asylum-seekers.
During law school Dustin was a senior staff editor for the Georgetown University Law Center’s Food and Drug Law Journal and worked at the Georgetown University Health Justice Alliance, an academic medical-legal partnership serving vulnerable members of the D.C. community. Prior to law school, Dustin worked at Community Catalyst to help launch In the Loop, an innovative online community for enrollment assisters jointly run by Community Catalyst and the National Health Law Program. Dustin also worked at the D.C. Department of Insurance focusing on healthcare policy issues.
