About Paola
Paola M. Ferrer is the Chief Operating Officer at HCFA where she partners with the Executive Director and Chief of Staff to oversee all aspects of our administrative operations. Before joining HCFA, Paola served as Chief of Staff at the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) where she supported the Commissioner in fulfilling agency priorities and oversaw the Office of the Ombudsman, Communications, and Legislative Affairs. She joined DCF after leading institutional advancement, marketing and public affairs at Charles River Community Health, and community grant and advocacy initiatives at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.
Paola is passionate about performing arts and is an accomplished actor, having appeared in multiple Boston-area theater productions as well as print, radio and TV commercials. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Boston University, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. Paola is a native Spanish speaker, proficient in French, conversant in Italian and a long-time student of Arabic. She lives in Stoughton with her husband, Camilo, and their two dogs, Dahlia and Orchid.
