About Tracey
Tracey Lewis is currently the managing director and owner of TL Strategies, LLC, a woman and black owned grassroots consulting firm. During the 2020 presidential campaign, Tracey returned to Georgia to lead her third statewide election as State Director for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and its historic Georgia victory – the first time in nearly 30 years a Democratic presidential candidate has won the state. She went on to two more historic 2020 wins, as the senior advisor providing strategic advice for the Democratic Party of Georgia’s Coordinated Campaign for the winning runoff elections of Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock that gave Democrats the U.S. Senate majority.
In 2018, Tracey led on-the-ground Get Out The Vote efforts in Alabama that helped Doug Jones win a historic election to the U.S. Senate. She was the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. She started 2020 as a senior advisor to Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign, after having served as Deputy Campaign Manager during her historic, first U.S. Senate campaign in 2012 when Warren was the only Democrat to defeat a Republican incumbent. Tracey also worked for Senator Warren in the United States Senate.
Tracey has been and remains a longtime advisor to U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) and has worked for John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton. She has experience working on campaigns at all levels including five national presidential races and has campaigned in seventeen states from New Hampshire to Mississippi. Tracey has also coordinated civic engagement programs, organized issue advocacy campaigns and managed special events for nonprofits including the NAACP Boston and City Year, a national service organization.
Tracey started organizing as a volunteer in Boston, Massachusetts campaigning for Congressman Joe Kennedy II and would eventually become the first African American to manage a coordinated campaign in Massachusetts.
