About Mara

Mara Da Silva joined Health Care For All as a HelpLine Counselor in 2020. After studying pedagogy at Unopar in Brazil, Mara began her career as a teacher. When she moved to the USA, Mara worked as a Case Manager, a Medical Interpreter, a Residential Counselor at Community Teamwork (CTI) Resource Center, and a Community Health Worker at Lowell General Hospital. She has volunteered at the Center for Hope and Healing as a Counselor serving individuals who are survivors of sexual assault and is currently a facilitator for an LGBTQ support group in the same city. In addition, Mara has a Medical Interpreter Certificate, a Community Health Worker Certificate, a Chronic Diseases Self-Management Certificate, and is a certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor.
